Interline Brands, Inc
A leading national distributor and direct marketer of maintenance, repair and operations ("MRO") products to the facilities maintenance end-market. The company stocks approximately 100,000 MRO products in the following categories: janitorial and sanitation; plumbing; hardware, tools and fixtures; heating, ventilation and air conditioning; electrical and lighting; appliances and parts; security and safety; and other miscellaneous maintenance products. These products are primarily used for the repair, maintenance, remodeling, and refurbishment of non-industrial and residential facilities and are marketed through distinct and targeted brands in the facilities maintenance markets they serve.

Strategic and add-on acquisitions
- During Sterlings ownership, Interline acquired Barnett Brass and Copper, Inc. The resulting strategic combination created the leading national distributor in its product categories.
- Interline made three other meaningful add-on acquisitions that added significant scale to the Company, provided meaningful cost synergies, and expanded the Company into important product lines.
- Supported initiatives to improve the Company’s sales and profitability by optimizing pricing, increasing private label offerings, implementing a national customer accounts program, and rationalizing operations of acquired companies.
Initial public offering
- In December 2004, Sterling assisted with the Company’s approximately $190 million IPO (NYSE: IBI).
